CAFÉ MANAGER

We’re on the lookout for a Café Manager to lead the team at The Groundworks – Hitchin’s go-to spot for quality coffee and a modern, seasonal brunch menu.

  • Position: Café Manager

  • Start Date: June 2025

  • Hours: 40

  • Days of work: Monday to Sunday (2 days off in a row per week)

  • Previous experience as a senior manager in a hospitality role is strongly preferred

  • Salary: £28k - £30k depending on experience + tips circa £3k per year

THE ROLE

  • Running the day-to-day operations of the café

  • Ensuring beverages and food are served to a high standard

  • Line-managing the front of house team to ensure the highest standard of service

  • Overseeing FOH operations, training, recruitment and rota-planning

  • Administration: email communications, ordering, responding to reviews

  • Maintaining and promoting health and safety, and our workplace values

  • Forge relationships with our regulars (new and old!)
